Frumkvöðlasetur í Húsi Sjávarklasans hefur verið tekið í notkun og eru þrjú fyrirtæki nú komin inn. Fimmtudaginn 12. desember voru tvö af þessum fyrirtækjum með kynningu á verkefnum sínum og forsvarsmönnum þeirra. Birgitta Baldursdóttir og Sigrún Sigurðardóttir kynntu True West sem vinnur með kaldhreinsað lýsi eftir gamalli aðferð. Garðar Stefánsson kynnti fyrirtækið Íslenska Saltfélagið ásamt félaga sínum Søren Rosenkilde en þeir nota heitt vatn til að eima salt upp úr sjónum úr Breiðafirði.
Afar góð stemmning myndaðist í húsinu og þó nokkuð spurt meðal áheyrenda. Við viljum grípa tækifærið og bjóða þau velkomin í húsið!

Two of the companies gave us a small presentation on Thursday, 12th of December. Ms Birgitta Baldursdóttir and Ms Sigrún Sigurðardóttir presented their company named True West. They are working on refining fish oil with an old method which does not require any heating of the fish oil and preserves the natural nutrients.
Garðar Stefánsson presented the company Íslenska Saltfélagið (Icelandic Salt Company) along with his partner Søren Rosenkilde. They are using hot water to distil salt from the sea of Breiðarfjörður on hot steel pans.
The presentations created a good atmosphere among the group and the presenters got several questions from the listeners. We would like to take the opportunity and welcome them to the Ocean Cluster House and hope their businesses will be fruitful in the coming years!
