A new report, published by the IOC, describes the economic importance and performance of the Icelandic ocean industries in 2013.

According to the report, the fisheries sector and its spin-off industries generate 25-30% of Iceland’s production (GDP). Furthermore, last year was marked by things such as continued growth in fisheries technology (12%), boosted investments in the fishing industry and increased exports of fresh products.
