Groundwork on a new sea salt processing plant in Reykholar (in the Westfjords of Iceland) began this week, but frontmen Garðar Stefánsson and Søren Rosenkilde are now based in the Innovation Center in the Ocean Cluster House. The factory will use hot water for condensing salt from the sea in traditional open steal pans. “Our design is brand new however. Our goal is clear: To make the best salt in the world.” says Garðar. The plant construction is scheduled to be completed early next year but the team says right now they are going full force into marketing.
