Þór Sigfússon framkvæmdastjóri Íslenska sjávarklasans kynnir starf klasans og áherslur varðandi fulla nýtingu hvítfisks á ráðstefnu NASF í Bergen 4. mars nk.

Ráðstefnan er með yfirskriftina „Blue Innovations to Feed the World“.

Nánari upplýsingar um ráðstefnuna má nálgast hér.Thor Sigfusson, CEO of the Iceland Ocean Cluster, will introduce the cluster´s initiative regarding full utilisation of whitefish in the North Atlantic at the Marine Innovation Day at the North Atlantic Seafood conference in Bergen March 4.   Thor Sigfusso´s speech will focus on sustainable exploitation of marine resources with special emphasis on rest raw material from the fish.

„Our studies indicate that a large part of the Cod in the North Atlantic is thrown into the sea or into the dustbin in many countries.  Icelanders have found ways to utilize the rest raw material and build efficient supply chains for these products,“  says Thor.  „There are great opportunities to create value from rest raw material but we need coherent efforts over borders to make that happen, this is our message at the conference“ says Thor.
