Companies that fall under ocean related tourism in the Marine cluster are companies that offer recreational activities related to the ocean and operate boats for sight-seeing along the coast of Iceland. These also included the major museums that cover the ocean and ocean related activities.

One of the biggest national tourism is ocean related tourism. The biggest part relates to southern parts, sun, ocean and beach life. The ocean related tourism here in Iceland is of a different sort. The ocean and coastline of the country have big attractions due to great and unique beauty of the country as well as great biological diversity. This is what impresses tourists, both foreign and domestic. Development of services in ocean related activities has also been increasing.

The ocean has always been used for shipping and transportation of goods but passenger transportation has increased on Icelandic waters. Foreign cruise ships being the biggest part, making short stops and increasing steadily over the years.
