Today, the Iceland Ocean Cluster’s Transportation and Ports Group published a new long term strategy in logistics and transportation. Iceland’s Minister of the Interior, Hanna Birna Kristjansdottir, will accept the first copy of the paper this afternoon. 18 businesses that are members of the Iceland Ocean Cluster have for the past year worked on establishing a joint strategy for 2030 regarding transportation and logistics in Iceland.

For the first time ever, a wide set of companies from the main sectors of transportation, logistics and ports, have developed a strategy which aims to strengthen Iceland’s competitiveness in this area.  The report’s publication marks a turning point for these industries and provides commitments to build on a strong foundation and strengthen logistics and transportation in the coming years.
